Save and load routes
In order for you to work efficiently in PTV Map&Guide across several sessions, routes can be saved and recalled again later. Routes can be saved in the “Private” or “Public” folder.

Routes in the “Private” folder are available only to you.

Routes in the “Public” folder can also be accessed by other users.
When you save a route for the first time, it is always stored in the “Private” folder. By moving the route to the “Public” folder, you can make it available to other users.

Saving a route
To save a stop list or route, proceed as follows:

Choose “Save Route” to save changes to your route. The first time a route is saved, the name is taken from the header of the stop list.
Attention: If there is already a route with this name, you can either assign a new name or overwrite the existing route.

Your route is now saved in the “Private” folder and can be called up again at a later time. When closing the stop list via the “X", a query with the following options appears:

Note: When a route is saved, the Settings for dynamic route calculation are also saved.
Load a saved route
To load a saved stop list or route, proceed as follows:

Change the status of a saved route (private / public)

To make a private route publicly accessible, drag and drop it from the “Private” folder to the “Public” folder. The route thus becomes available to all other users.

To remove a public route from public access, drag and drop it from the “Public” folder to the “Private” folder.
Warning: Other users will then no longer be able to find this route!
