Saved routes

To make working PTV Map&Guide with efficient across sessions, you can save created stop lists/routes and access them at any other time.

Saving a route

To save a stop list or route, proceed as follows:

  1. Create your stop list or route (for details on creating a route or, see the chapter "Creating a route").

  1. Click on the “Route functions” button (marked by three dots) to the right of your route title. This opens the menu with functions for loading, saving, importing and exporting routes and stop lists.

  1. Here you can now select the function

    • "Save route as..." to save the route for the first time - in this case you will be prompted to assign a unique name to the route

    or

    • "Save route" to save changes to your route. When you save the route for the first time, the name of the route entered in the header of the stop list is used for saving.

Attention: If a route with the same name already exists, you will be notified by a message. You can then choose a new name or overwrite the existing route.

Your route is thus saved and can be called up again at a later time.

If you want to close the stop list via the "X" at the top left, you will be asked whether you want to save the route after clicking on the "X":

  • "Save route & close" saves the route under the name currently specified. If a route already exists under this name, you can choose a new name or overwrite the existing route.

  • "Save as..." gives you the option to save the route under a new name.

  • "Close without saving" discards the changes and closes the route.

Loading a saved route

To load a saved stop list or route, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on the “Route functions” button (marked by three dots) to the right of your route title. This opens the menu with functions for loading, saving, importing and exporting routes and stop lists.

  2. Select the function "Load route" function.

  1. The "Load route" panel is displayed. All saved routes are listed here under the "Routes" tab. These are grouped by save date.

  1. If you click on one of the saved routes, a simplified preview of the route is displayed in the map view. The individual stops are only connected according to their order, not according to an actual route.

  2. Click on the arrow button in the selected line to load the route and make it available for further use.

Note: You can delete the selected route using the button in the selected line. The deletion takes place without further confirmation.
