Saving a profile

You can specify how the program's interface should look after starting. Here you have the possibility of saving your current settings in your profile, such as the opened use cases, selected routing options or visible columns. Your profile is loaded each time that the program is opened.

Saving current profile

  • In the title bar click My account > Save profile.

    The window PTV Map&Guide intranet - Save profile opens. All of the settings that you have changed during your current login session are highlighted here.

  • Determine which changes you wish to save in the profile.

    Section Element and description
    View

     Opened use cases

    If the option is enabled, the currently open use cases are saved.

          

    Additional information

    If the option is enabled, the names in the route planning tab and the selected vehicles are saved.

     Program area management

    If the option is enabled, the current program view is saved. This includes, for example, the size of the map, the size of the list of stop-off points or visible/hidden routing parameters.

     Column formats

    If the option is enabled, the configuration of lists is saved.
    Map

     Current map section

    If the option is enabled, the current map section is saved.

     Visible/selectable address types

    If the option is enabled, the next time the program starts up, the map objects that you checked in the map toolbar under Visibility will be shown again (see Map functions).

     Coordinates format used

    If the option is enabled, the currently selected coordinates format is saved (see Changing coordinate format).
    Route planning

     Address search country

    If the option is enabled, the countries that are currently selected for the city search are saved.

     Address types search town

    If the option is enabled, the currently selected address types under are saved.

     Freight search settings

    If the option is enabled, the currently selected options are saved during the freight search.

     Optimisation settings

    If the option is enabled, the defined optimisation settings are saved (see Customising sequence optimisation settings).
    Routing parameter

    The current status of the selected routing options is saved through the routing parameter.

     
  • Confirm your entries with Save.

Automatically saving profile

You can specify that the profile should always be saved when you leave the program.

 

  • In the title bar, click on My Profile and select the Save profile automatically when closing.

    The Settings window opens.

  • In Settings, specify the settings that should be automatically saved when leaving (see My profile.)
