Save, open, rename and move route

You can save and reopen routes as well as rename or drag and drop a saved route to another folder.

Notes: The program differentiates between shared and private routes. Shared routes can be viewed by every employee in the company, but only you can view private routes.

Save route as

You can save stop-off point lists with a name of your choice.

  • On the toolbar, click Save as....

    The Save route as... window will open.

  • Make the required settings.

    Element Description
    Entry field Give the route a name.
     New folder

    Creates a new folder

    The new folder is inserted under the folder which is selected in the Save location.

    Tip: Alternatively a new folder can be created using the context menu.

    All private and shared folders are shown here.

    Shared within your company folder: The route can be viewed by all employees in the company.

    Folder Private: The route is only visible to you

    Entry field Description If you wish, you can enter a description for the route.
     Lock route If this option is enabled, the route can only be changed or deleted by yourself.
  • Confirm your entries with OK.

Tip: If you wish to delete a route, right-click the route and select Delete in the context menu. Highlight several routes or folders with SHIFT + left mouse button or CTRL + left mouse button.

Saving route

If you have loaded a route which has already been saved and you have changed stop-off points or settings, you can save the route as the same name without this raising another query.

  • on the toolbar click Save.

Opening route

  • On the toolbar, click on Open.

    The Open route window opens.

  • Select the route you wish to open.

  • Select the desired option.

    Element Description
    Centre and zoom into stop-off points on map Shows the stop-off points adjusted to the map.
    Add a current stop-off point list

    Adds the stop-off points to the existing list of stop-off points.

  • Confirm your entries with OK.

Note: A saved route contains the information of the vehicle and routing profile used for the calculation. If changes have been made to reference vehicles or reference routing profiles in a new program version and you load a route which has been calculated using a previous version, you receive a message. We recommend that you always use the latest reference vehicles and reference routing profiles when planning a route.

Rename route

You can change the name of a route in the Open route or Save route windows.

  • Do a short click on the name of the route which you would like to rename.

    The entry field is enabled.

  • Enter a name of your choice.

Tip: It is quick and easy to rename a route by double-clicking on the relevant tab in route planning and entering a new name .

Move route

In the Open route or Save route windows, you can drag and drop a saved route to another folder.

Delete route(s) or folder

In the Open route or Save route windows, you can delete saved routes or folders.

 

  • Right-click the desired route or folder.
  • Select Delete from the context menu.

Tip: Highlight several routes or folders with SHIFT + left mouse button or CTRL + left mouse button.
