Reference vehicle

A reference vehicle is a preset vehicle, in which only data can be changed which do not effect the route calculation. Each reference vehicle is assigned a reference routing profile with settings which can also not be changed.

Reference vehicles are useful, for example, if two companies wish to compare the routes driven.

In PTV Map&Guide intranet, reference vehicles are the vehicles (RF truck 40t, RF truck 11.99t, RF truck 7.49t, RF trailer truck, RF transporter (LDCV) and RF car. These vehicles take truck restrictions into consideration during route planning.

As an alternative, there are reference vehicles with the add-on (ignores truck restrictions). These vehicles do not take any truck-specific route restrictions into account.
