Emissions calculation with HBEFA 3.2

If you have selected the option Calculation in accordance with HBEFA in Settings (see Route planning settings), PTV Map&Guide intranet calculates the emission values for each route based on HBEFA (Handbook Emission Factors for Road Transport).

As opposed to version 3.1, the following improvements are included:

• Updated emission factors for Euro 5 and 6.

• In addition to emissions class Euro 6, the emissions level Euro 6c was introduced for trucks and vans.

Emission class 6 can be interpreted as EURO 6a/b. The introduction of emission levels 6a and 6b is at a later point in time.

The emissions calculation includes several factors, such as vehicle properties, load (weight) and route profile (inclines).
