When will the goods arrive?

In PTV Map&Guide internet you can use the PTV Drive&Arrive service, which provides all stakeholders in a transport cycle with a real-time arrival time (ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival).

When calculating the arrival time, PTV Drive&Arrive takes into account external events such as the latest traffic disruptions, current vehicle data, for example driving times and rest periods, and notifies all stakeholders of the expected arrival time.

Note: You can only use the service's functions if you have been assigned the appropriate rights in the administration tool.

Note: To use PTV Drive&Arrive's functions, the PTV Driver app must be installed on drivers' smartphones.
The PTV Driver app can be loaded onto smartphones free of charge from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (IOS).

In PTV Map&Guide internet you can use the service for the following purposes.

  • Send a calculated route to a driver

The driver must have the PTV Driver app installed on their smartphone. When the driver opens the link they receive, the trip is shown in the app. The planned departure and arrival time and the vehicle are sent automatically along with the route.

More information can be found in the article Sending routes to drivers.

  • Monitoring the routes in the Sent Routes use case (see Monitor sent routes)

    • Show the vehicles that are currently on the road

    • Shows the status of the route.
    • Shows the status of each stop-off point along the sent route.
    • Link to the planned and expected arrival times at each stop-off point on the route. The expected arrival time is continuously updated using the data that the driver sends. Every route and stop-off point receives a unique SCEM ID for this purpose.
  • Informing customers of the expected arrival time.

You can send your customers a link showing the current planned arrival time at the stop-off point.
